I worked in Toshiba’s R&D division on test automation (using Python and VMware ESXi):• Upon joining the R&D division I was tasked with finding a way to provide comprehensive automated testing for an ambitious Windows device driver project for Toshiba’s MFPs (Multi Function Printers).• Started and lead the development of an automated testing framework for Toshiba’s MFPs. The testing framework (written in Python) covered the full testing pipeline from Virtual Machine management to fine grain control over Windows application automation. I worked in the Analysis and Assessment team on data engineering (using PostgreSQL and XML technologies) and improvements to the Pharmaceutical Schedule (automated typesetting and web based search):• Greenfield project to import a monthly dataset into PostgreSQL (XML functionality), using Python for data normalisation and visualisation.• Redeveloped the PHARMAC website and interactive Pharmaceutical Schedule, adhering to government guidelines for accessibility. This website remained in use for several years after the initial release and parts of the interactive schedule still remain in use (as of 2018).• Created an internal website used by Pharmaceutical Analysts to browse common queries applied to different pharmaceuticals.• Collaborated on a project to typeset the Pharmaceutical Schedule in LaTeX using XSLT transforms.
