I had the pleasure of working with the Executive Producer (Mr. Ben Thum) and helped him convert the film from a non-profit documentary to a for profit venture. Due to other commitments, I'm not fully engaged in the effort today, but Ben and I still collaborate on various business aspects of the project. I was hired as Director of IT reporting to the President and COO of the Sony North American PlayStation Group to focus on improving the major functions of IT. I evaluated all business systems and made recommendations for necessary improvements that were required due to predicted exponential growth in the PlayStation business. I then led the effort to replace several key business systems. Starting with ERP and then moving to Sales & CRM. When I was hired, Sony was running small business class applications on Windows platforms and at the time they were operating beyond capacity. This was a ship about to sink.In 2000, selected to be the IT leader for a new major Sony business model—setting up a new subsidiary, PlayStation.com (America) Inc, to sell Sony PlayStation products to consumers in North America via the Internet and develop online gaming infrastructure.
