With this launch Bajaj IDI engine diesel vehicle fuel economy found better than the competitors vehicles having DI engine.• Market survey, development, testing and successful launch of hand operated Single plate dry clutch for Diesel E&T from earlier foot operated clutch. This modification attracts first time user of diesel vehicles to Bajaj vehicles and Bajaj diesel vehicles becomes market leader in Compact and Maxima variants.• Modifications done in IDI diesel engine CC, combustion chamber, setting parameters and exhaust system to convert the engine from BS3 compliant to BS4 compliant with no reduction in fuel economy.

• Layout design, proto testing of new 3wh Diesel DI engine to achieve BS3 emission norms. • E&T Layout design, development, testing and launch of Maxima Z variant of diesel vehicle.• Modification in engine mounting system done for Maxima variant of diesel engine to reduce the vibration level felt at driver and passenger seat.• Modifications done in IDI diesel engine CC, combustion chamber and setting parameters to convert the engine from BS2 compliant to BS3 compliant with no reduction in fuel economy.• Worked for “Long life project” of diesel engine by improving the few main system of the IDI engine i.e. converting the Aluminium connecting rod to steel connecting rod, full oil filtration of the engine enhancing bearing life and use of higher grade of engine oil. With these modifications IDI diesel engine durability improved to a large extent and it increases the market share of the entire diesel vehicle in South Indian market.

• Managed M80 2wh daily vehicle assembly of 280 per shift by effectively managing manpower, on time delivery of components to assembly line and timely resolution of all the defects arising during assembly. During this time M80 final assembly line is assembling maximum number of vehicles per shift compared to all Bajaj Auto assembly lines.• Work in Final Assembly to reduce defect per Vehicle to 1 from 2.5 by solving all the incoming defects from engine assembly, chassis shop and paint shop.• Worked as section in charge of two cells for production of Aluminium crankcases and covers of 3wh front engine vehicle. Cell comprising of VMC’s from HMT and ACE, machining centre from Komou and SPM’s. • Demonstrated excellence in increasing the overall equipment efficiency of Cell from 78% to 90% by working on preventive maintenance & reducing machine cycle time.
