    I joined the club, as most do, as a parent when my boys wanted to join a local team aged 5/6, took on the role of Team Manager for my eldest's 1st competitive season at U9's, then qualified as a Level 1 Football & Goalkeeping coach and took on the Chairman role for the 2015/2016 Season.St Albans Rangers FC was founded in 1985 & provides football for a range of age groups with our pitches being located at Harperbury, Harper Lane, WD7 9HF. The club has youth football teams ranging from U8s to U18s playing in the Watford Friendly League on Sundays. The club has an ethos of player and team development. It is important that our young players have all the fundamental skills required to play all sports, and the club supports the concept of LTPD (Long Term Player Development) where the focus is on training the correct skills at an early age. It is this approach that fosters a good relationship between the players and coach, and is the underlying reason why more of our players stay with the club up to U18s, and beyond into adult football. In 2001, St.Albans Rangers FC gained the FA Charter Standard Development Club Award, one of the first in the county to achieve this, and in 2007 won the Herts FA and FA Eastern Region Charter Standard Development Club of the Year.In 2009, the club was registered as a charity (reference 1130881) with the Charity Commission, and for Gift Aid with HMRC. Now in it's 37th season, the club celebrates more than 3 decades of providing grassroots football in the local community, a fantastic achievement for a club that started out with just a couple of teams in the summer of 1985.
