I direct projects within the Head Start Division, which provides early childhood education and family services.I maintain accountability for procurement, grant administration, budgeting, contract management, and compliance, as well as information technology and facilities management.My responsibilities include the supervision of two senior management analysts, seven management analysts and an IT on-site support specialist while managing multimillion dollar budgets.Each month, I deliver reports to the Head Start Policy Council and the Community Action Advisory Board.I also track division activity to maintain compliance with all program requirements and contractual commitments.

In this role, I managed one direct report while directing the establishment and review of contracts and procurement projects supporting the City's Head Start program.I ensured grant compliance and completed annual grant applications to fund our programs. I served a key role supporting five AVANCE federal programs benefiting residents of San Antonio, Uvalde, and the surrounding counties. I supervised three ERSEA Coordinators, one MIS Assistant, and four data entry clerks. My duties included administering a database to track enrollment, eligibility, and attendance for each program, ensuring full enrollment in order to meet grant requirements. I was responsible for data management, reports, program updates, and staff training.On an annual basis, I submitted mandatory reports to the federal government and led my component area through several successful federal reviews.I trained over 350 staff members agency-wide on program objectives, strategic planning, data management, and other program related compliance practices.

Here, I managed a team of six Family Development and Support Workers engaged in parent engagement, family home visits, child health follow-ups, parent leadership meetings, and referrals for other family services.I developed and maintained strong relationships with parents, staff members, and representatives of community agencies.As a key resource, I advised staff during crisis scenarios as well as played a leadership role during federal reviews.
