I work as a R&D Specialist mainly focused in the application and processing of thermoplastics and thermoset composites for the Aeronautic and Space sectors. Tasks associated to my current role:- Identify needs of current and potential clients with regard to thermoplastic and thermoset polymers and composites.- Solve problems related to the use of composites, throughout the definition of a specific methodology and a detail-oriented execution.- Write research proposals for national funding initiatives.- Project management and execution of projects in the area of composites.- Identify new markets and potential niche applications of composites.- Perform systematic literature reviews and discover the latest developments in specific areas related to composites development and manufacturing, EMI shielding, lightweight, thermoplastic polymers...- Attend national and international conferences and exhibitions, including the delivery of oral presentations of the latests developments within the projects I manage.

Thesis Title: "Void characterisation in composite prepregs using X-ray imaging and Deep Learning methods"

I worked as a Materials Engineer within the Electric Powertrain Department.My main tasks included:- Design of experiments (Thermoplastics and Thermosetting materials).-Writing technical reports.- Contacting and negotiating with suppliers regarding materials with special requirements.- Data Analysis (Matlab / Python).- Electrical ageing of materials.
