Led team of 8 analysts to develop a business plan for our first-in-class oral treatment for myopia that won a gold medal in Best Supporting Entrepreneurship at the 2023 iGEM Jamboree in Paris, France

As a member of the business subteam during the 2022 iGEM competition,. I honed in on the commercial viability of our groundbreaking handheld 3D bioprinter concept, conducting meticulous data and cost-benefit analyses along with market research. Collaboratively, we devised a business plan that not only captured the innovation at its core but was also characterized by scalability and cost-efficiency, drawing positive feedback from industry leaders. Simultaneously, I worked on securing essential funding, identifying and applying to potential grants and sponsorship sources, thereby ensuring our project had the financial backing to match its ambition. This focused approach was instrumental in our triumph, securing a gold accolade at the international stage in Paris, showcasing our product's potential in the vibrant biotech sector.

In my current role, I work diligently with the committee for the crucial goal of optimizing the Cornell Student Health Plan (SHP), a plan that serves over 15,000 students annually. My efforts are concentrated on analyzing critical financial data to calibrate premium increments, discerning which services should be incorporated within the SHP, and proposing adjustments to co-insurance, co-pay, and premium rates. In advising university executives, our committee devises a health plan that is both fiscally responsible and attuned to the varied needs of our student community, working towards a framework where quality and affordability coalesce seamlessly.

In my capacity as a Residential Advisor at Ganedago Hall, home to over 560 residents, I play a pivotal role in nurturing a vibrant and supportive community. Entrusted with the well-being and safety of 41 residents directly under my care, my role transcends the upkeep of facilities. I stand as a mediator, mentor, and pillar of support, helping resolve conflicts, guiding residents in dismantling biases, and offering emotional and mental counsel during times of distress. Additionally, I tailor educational programs and strategies, responding adeptly to the residents' diverse needs and desires, thereby fostering an enriching and responsive living environment.

As part of Professor Matthew DeLisa's research lab, I was in the protein homeostasis engineering subgroup. Under the mentorship of PhD student Tina Ye, I was involved in researching the development and characterization of ubiquibodies-- proteins that have the potential to revolutionize immune system treatment.

In my role as the engineering representative and VP of Internal Operations, I had the privilege of leading a spirited assembly focused on fostering sustainable changes on campus and enhancing the student experience.Together, we revitalized bikesharing programs in Ithaca, bridging dialogues between the Ithaca city council, local bikeshare non-profits, and various departments at Cornell University. This collaborative effort not only established new parking hubs on campus but also secured a significant investment from the Student Assembly, paving the way for greener transportation options and fostering a more connected community.I spearheaded a campus-wide legislative initiative to reinforce reproductive rights, aligning with Cornell Health and several stakeholders to establish emergency contraceptive vending machines on campus. This marked a progressive step towards safer and more inclusive healthcare facilities at Cornell.Furthermore, responding to constituent feedback regarding Cornell Health, I orchestrated a legislative campaign advocating for a dedicated MD gynecologist at Cornell Health. Despite the initial resolution not being passed, our persistent advocacy facilitated the inauguration of a rotational MD program, significantly improving healthcare accessibility and catering to the varied needs of the student body.

As an elected voice of Cornell's 4,000-strong freshman class, I swiftly moved to enhance the daily student experience on multiple fronts. I pioneered the addition of 8 new printers on North Campus, alleviating academic stresses and streamlining study routines. To bolster outdoor connectivity, I initiated the installation of Wi-Fi routers at various blue light areas, a move to marry safety with technological accessibility.But my vision extended beyond just infrastructure; I launched a progressive multi-year initiative aimed at integrating food delivery services on campus, ushering our dining experiences into the digital age. This role sharpened my leadership acumen, honed negotiation skills, and instilled a proactive approach to community improvement and innovation.
