Each week there was a short story where students had challenges (exercises) that they had to overcome. This project was nationwide, had a media presence in both radio and TV and we also promoted directly in schools, with the teachers.

After having gathered experience from the non-profit sector in Ireland I returned to Portugal and looked for a way to share that experience. I found Entrajuda, an organization whose main mission is to help bridge between the non-profit and the profit world. Two main initiatives worth mentioning: Bolsa do Voluntariado and Volunteerbook.Bolsa do Voluntariado was a portal that already existed and but was needing a serious revamp. Facebook was as its highest in terms of hype so the strategy was also to have a presence on that social network. Volunteerbok was then created as a means to share and promote the volunteering experience from hundreds of volunteers.2012 was the European Year of Volunteering so I also had the opportunity to write a proposal, submit it and win financing for both of these projects, in the European Union. My time in Entrajuda also gave me some experience with working with the media which was extremely useful on my next adventure: Quest4K

Working with Volunteering Ireland as a Consultant Project Manager, in a volunteer capacity.Between 2009 and 2010 I decided to take a break from the profit sector and headed to Ireland where I got myself involved in different capacities with several non-profits.It was my introduction to the sector, allowed me to better understand the challenges and mission of organizations in this area. With Volunteering Ireland I involved myself almost full time, a way to give back through my working experience.
