Having born in Porto, all my academic and professional career happened around “my” city. Very early in my life, benefiting from frequent family trips, I had the opportunity to contact with different countries and cultures. Broadened horizons, won critical sense.When I first dreamed about my career, I wanted to be a garbage man, then a fireman, doctor, and in the end I decided to graduate in Management. I look back at my college days, not only as a period of academic learning, but also of intense experiences.My professional connection to Banking popped up as an opportunity in my last year of college.In 2005 I felt the need to upgrade my skills and decided to do an MBA. It was a challenging and very rewarding experience - increased my technical knowledge, met people with multiple areas of training, careers and sensibilities. In 2013 I made several academic initiatives to increase my abilities in the corporate/SME perspective side and in 2014 I accepted a new challenge, this time in the retail business.Looking back, I realize that, despite the initial difficulty of this step, it definitely made me a more complete and flexible professional and individual. Since then, it's been an amazing roller coasting journey of diverse roles, experiences and growth in all fields- I managed Credit products in large retail banners, customer services teams, credit operations and started Acquiring and BNPL activities from scratch. All this whilst being a continuous improvement PMO.I believe in meritocracy, that ethics pays, that work dignifies and only makes sense if done in teams. I believe we can all go beyond our own preconceived boundaries – it´s just a matter of finding the right motivation. I do not believe in resignation and in the status quo.
