Progressed through various positions over the following 10 years until WestRock purchased the Company.

Managed the company's safety, environmental, and engineering systems. Key achievements included:>Implemented a review and accountability system that resulted in a safer work environment.>Reconciled discrepancies in risk insurance guidance across the 5 mill system to achieve cost savings.

Transformed a 745‐employee mill into a high‐performance culture by developing a cohesive team of like‐minded leaders, establishing a vision for operations, building alignment processes, and instilling organizational discipline. Accomplishments included:> Reduced recordable injury rate (RIR) from >6 in 2007 to <2 every year after 2008 and <1 in 2013.> Achieved 1 million recordable free hours streaks in 2012 & 2013.> Increased Paper production by 25% from 2010 – 2016 ‐‐‐ record production for six straight years, going from annual average of 2,622 TPD to 3,290 TPD> Led the salary team in a safe startup of mill operations; key to ending an eight‐day strike by hourly employees.> Was an active team member responsible for the sale of the company for $1.025 billion in 2013.

Responsible for 30 salaried and 270 hourly in the safe and efficient operation of 5 paper machines, logistics department, and OCC recycling plant.

Salaried 13 Hourly 75.> Focus for this time period was providing due diligence information and Mill understanding to the purchasing company International Paper.

Responsible for kraft pulping, OCC recycle plant, liquor making, chip handling. Salaried 7 Hourly 43 Major results:* Justification, installation, and startup of North America's first radial chip stacker/reclaimer improving pulp quality and reducing chip handling headcount by ~30%.

Responsible for operation of No. 2 Paper Machine, OCC recycle plant, shipping, and Office of the Customer. Staff of 5 salaried and 54 hourly. Accomplishments:> Multiple production and world speed records on No. 2 due to top decile efficiency for uptime and breaks.

Feb 1998 - Jan 2002 (4 years)Handled operations maintenance coordination and led the resurgence of No. 2 machine in the Weyerhaeuser linerboard fleet through operator engagement.> Between 1998 and 2005 helped take No. 2 from ~1220 to ~1650 tons/day while improving uptime from 91% to 96% and GTE from 97.2 to 97.7>Led the organization, execution, and startup of No. 2 Paper Machine when hourly workforce went on strike and was lead operator during the month-long labor strike.

Responsible for 10 person crew and operation of 100% recycled linerboard and medium machine producing ~730 TPD from the waste yard to shipping.

Responsible for No. 4 paper machine a 100% recycle liner machine staffed by 4 foreman and 36 hourly operators. Duties included:>Crew training and certification.>Crew scheduling>Chemical additive trials and technical troubleshooting.

Responsible for 25 hourly employees and 2 linerboard machines, producing 2400 TPD, finishing and shipping.

Technical support to No. 3 machine and related areas. Major work involved development and implementation of a plan of control for insect contamination.

Responsible for operation of a 500 TBD coated, bleached board machine including stock processing, coating, and additives areas. Successes included:>Leveraged wet end rebuild to yield 95 TPD production increase>Shift had lowest number of customer complaints

Daily technical support to two board machines. Assisted in optimization of No. 3 wet end rebuild.

Technical support to production on two board machines. Major work included:>Check-out and start-up of No. 3 Machine wet end rebuild>Refining optimization (improved fiber bond while eliminating 2 refiners)

Summer supervisor in the plate and bowl making area. Supervised a group of 20 hourly operators and technicians.

Developed testing procedures to determine incoming chip quality. Included designing, conducting, statistical analysis for statistical validity and economic feasibility. Projected savings $350,000.
