● Duties focused on developing embedded software solutions in a research-oriented context, both for U.S. Army applications and internal research and development projects.● Developed synchronous, asynchronous, multicore, and multithreaded embedded applications in both C and C++ using the Green Hills Software INTEGRITY-178B Real Time Operating System.● Participated in software development projects that utilized avionics software standards such as DO-178, FACE, and ARINC-653.● Utilized Atlassian Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Git distributed version control system on a daily basis.● Developed C/C++ unit tests for, and performed static code analysis on, various projects to scan for adherence to different rulesets.

Developed software/hardware simulation and testing solutions for U.S. Army Unmanned Aerial Systems assets utilizing Agile software development methodology as part of a software development team. Daily duties consisted of Windows application development using C++ in Visual Studio and MATLAB Simulink. I also had the opportunity to participate in a project focused on iOS application development using the XCode IDE and the Swift programming language.

Participated in development, calibration, and tuning of air handling actuator controls for engines developed by Cummins Inc. using MATLAB Simulink. Actuator controls developed were for numerous different types of valves including Exhaust Gas Recirculation valves, Intake Air Throttles, and Variable Geometry Turbos. Along with delivering actuator controls to meet performance specifications of engines, duties also included developing/analyzing actuator error detection diagnostics in order to comply with test requirements and meet desired product standards.

● Performed troubleshooting, calibration, adjustments, tests and maintenance on submarine Local Area Networks, weapons and guidance systems, submarine ordnance, optical alignment equipment and any related support subsystems.● Utilized/analyzed system drawings and schematic diagrams for the purposes of maintenance or testing of system electrical components.● Coordinated supply and acquisition procedures for any necessary components of submarine systems to ensure constant operation.● Prepared on-board computer systems for all modes of operation, both at sea and in port, and interpreted and analyzed data during operation of submarine computer systems and peripheral equipment as part of daily watchstanding duties.● Managed a division of 15 personnel as the “Leading Petty Officer” during at sea and in-port mission periods. This role included conducting staff training, managing and updating organizational schedules, performing personnel evaluations, and conducting proficiency assessments to ensure all personnel performed at or exceeded standards.● Served at NSTCP detachment Guam as the Fire Control Tactics Instructor from October 2010 - October 2013. Primary duties consisted of conducting responsive training and evaluations on submarine crews home ported in Guam.● During my military enlistment I held an active Department of Defense security clearance.
