Recent promotion occurred as a result of prior success and the development of the Tier II team within the Asurion Technology Operations Center organization. Development of this team includes many different disciplines and tasks being performed as a result of training and development plans with varying technology groups. One major implementation has been provided for the Global Database team regarding initial investigation and triage of major alarms in our production environments. Another phase includes monitoring our network circuits and firewalls for our Network Operations team on a global scale in order to provide support to our environments.

Technology Operations Center

I have been a supervisor for many years and have found myself as one in IT less than one year into the career change which came about from perseverance and the constant drive to perform better. I began working with Asurion on an evening shift and was soon asked to be a part of another which eventually led to my management role within the Technology Operations Center of Asurion. This group is a critical function of the day to day operation of incident management process area and will work to resolution as quickly as possible. Primary software supported is an insurance claims management software for mobile devices which is used daily by customer care representatives should an issue arise and an incident underway. The team serves as the initial layer of resolution to any outage regarding these programs which may include but not limited to escalations which require an understanding of technical detail to communicate effectively with other technology groups within the organization.

Achievements:Began as an IT Associate with Asurion and being promoted to Analyst I after four months of training, development, and earning recognition of coworkers and shift managers.Very proficient with many basic SQL queries and procedures that are performed primarily for research and updating database records for incorrect claims entered by customer service representatives.Software and file deployments are reviewed logically to assure no issue arises during an actual deployment to a production server.Responsibilities:Primary responsibilities are to perform level one support for all enterprise support groups concerning applications, databases, and networks. These concerns may reach major or critical thresholds as monitored through OpNet, PRTG, Nagios, and Spectrum dashboards which would require a proactive approach to resolve any issues prevention of an incident or outage. If an incident were to occur, would act as primary contact for initial triage and coordinate efforts for remediation by engaging other support groups. The preparation of detailed reports have an important role during any incident for notification purposes in which executives require by email and would also require timely responses if an executive were to need more explanation.
