Two companies keep me entertained, both striving to contribute in some way to building a sustainable existence.1. The project management and strategic aspect extends across retail, event management, social upliftment, finance, marketing and engineering ventures, all with a twist that reflects a commitment to not only advancing environmental stewardship but also fostering positive community and economic outcomes.2. Meanwhile, [ModTech Energy] www.modtech-energy.com embodies a pursuit of an Earth Positive outcome, offering eco-friendly living solutions that harmonize modern design with environmental responsibility. The goal is to create living spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also mindful of our planet's resources, promoting water and energy efficiency through global technologies. Our mission is to ensure that every project we undertake touches the Earth lightly.Leveraging a combination of technology, innovative strategies, and a dedication to sustainability, we strive to lead both ventures towards making significant environmental impacts.

Louw & Company provide some or all of the working capital required to complete a project in return for a minority share in the profits that are created by the investment. Louw & Company prefer to be viewed as finance partners, and not as lenders. The key differentiator is that clients are allowed to take advantage of bigger growth opportunities without taking on additional debt or selling shares in their companies, in other words, the client earns more profits without making larger investments.

Worked on a couple of small projects for a textile company in Cape Town (McQueens); a travel company in Cape Town (Journey2) and an export company in Karachi (Syntex).

Buying Manager for Textiles, Buyer and Trend Researcher.

PH Balance consulted on various retail, project management & strategising projects for Ackermans, Clicks, Full House Furniture (WC), CRK Marketing, Craft Design Institute and Adele Lucas Promotions. Work involved included market & trend research, sourcing and procurement of product, consultation and speaking and business mentoring for the CDI. Projects included contracting back to Ackermans; consultancy work to Clicks on babywear involving planning, buying, quality assurance, sales management, marketing, packaging and sourcing and design research. PH Balance also worked with the City of Cape Town in partnership with Adele Lucas Promotion for the December Cape Town Summer Market /Langa Market as strategist, communications and vendor manager and stakeholder liason. Penny was a mentor and Course Facilitator at CCDI (Cape Craft Design Institute) for the course titled "Retail Readiness".

Penny spent 6 months training on the MDP course in stores (Cresta) and 6 months at Edgardale headoffice in various buying departments before getting a buying position at Woolworths, Cape Town headoffice.
