During my tenure as a franchise owner with Shoppers Drug Mart, Ioperated multiple stores in Regina until I moved to Calgary in September2001 to operate a new franchise with the company in Kensington. Duringmy time as a franchisee, I was involved in multiple acquisitions ofindependent pharmacies with the company.Franchises operated 1993-1995 Operated Shoppers Drug Mart Southland Mall & Galleria Mall, Regina, Saskatchewan 1995 Shoppers Drug Mart bought Bi-Rite Drugs in Saskatchewan and my locations closed July 1, 1995. July 1, 1995 acquired 2 new Shoppers Drug Mart franchise locations at Victoria Square Mall & Gardiner Park Mall, Regina, Saskatchewan. July 1995 - September 2001 Successfully operated SDM franchises at Victoria Square and Gardiner Park which equated to over 12million a year in total store sales. Successfully integrated > 100 new staff into the Shoppers Drug Mart family and franchise model. September 2001 moved from Regina to Calgary for family reasons. Sold franchises in Regina to new franchisee and acquired franchise in Calgary, Alberta September 2001 Opened new Shoppers Drug Mart located in Kensington area in Calgary and assumed all the responsibility that comes with opening a new pharmacy. September 2001 bought Briar Drugs, an existing smaller independent pharmacy and successfully transferred business into new Shoppers Drug Mart location on Kensington Road Fall 2005 bought Telstar Drugs and successfully integrated staff and transferred business into existing Shoppers Drug Mart on Kensington Road. October 2008 Stepped down as franchisee with Shoppers Drug Mart to pursue new initiative for pharmacists in a Primary Care Model
