Communications And Emergency Escalation Lead | Nasa'S Ocio Service Management Office
CurrentAs the Communications Lead for NASA's OCIO Service Management Office (SMO), I research, develop, and implement strategic and tactical IT Service Management (ITSM) communications programs, distilling complex subjects into clear language to resonate with busy and diverse technical audiences. I have a passion for identifying logical narratives and storytelling and bring these to my ITSM communications projects including gathering, developing, and checking accuracy of information intended for distribution, and determining tone and delivery channels based on audience-goals for the information. I am an expert at producing informative metrics to report project performance to goals and then visually representing the results for easier consumption of the data. My projects include working with SMO ITSM Process Owners to improve their ITSM documentation (process guides, playbooks, online resources) for dissemination to Agency Level Offices, Center CIO teams, and OCIO Service Line project members. I am also the ServiceNow Knowledge Management Process Owner for the ITSM Tool Transition Project, which includes specialized ServiceNow training for KM outreach to OCIO end users as the project is rolled out. As the OCIO SMO Emergency Integration Lead, I provide expertise-based input to iteratively improve in-place IT Incident Emergency communication programs and implement new features to ensure the best message goes to the right audience, at the right time, via the right mechanisms. This includes early communications to Senior Leaders of unexpected incidents and rapid agencywide messaging to keep personnel abreast of any impacting events.
