I am an experienced White Collar trial attorney and consultant with a demonstrated history of leading and conducting high level white collar investigations and internal reviews in both the public and private sector. I have led over 100 federal jury trials including 25 Financial Fraud matters to juries. At the Department of Justice l investigated and/or prosecuted executives of Qwest Communications, General ReInsurance and AIG. I investigated and prosecuted International Ponzi Schemer Allen Stanford. I also oversaw DOJ's enforcement efforts in Corporate Fraud, Health Care Fraud and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. For more than 25 years, as the senior-most financial fraud prosecutor at the Department of Justice, I led teams of prosecutors and agents in DOJ's domestic and international financial fraud enforcement efforts. I twice earned the DOJ's highest honor (the Attorney General's Award) for leading the prosecution of significant and impactful financial crimes and health care frauds. I also received the prestigious Director's Award for efforts to eradicate a significant health care fraud scheme. In private practice I routinely defend individuals wrongly charged by prosecutors. I have provided companies and executives with innovative solutions to the multitude of vexing problems created by government investigations and litigation. I also have conducted high stakes internal investigations and compliance reviews for publicly traded corporations. I serve as an Adjunct Law Professor at George Washington University.
