The Landelijk Overleg Fracties (LOF) is the advocate and national network of student participation at Dutch universities, working hard for knowledge sharing and development, democratisation of education and strengthening the position of student participation. The Supervisory Board develops LOF's strategy and monitors its long-term objectives, financial policy and whether stakeholders' interests are sufficiently safeguarded by the board.

Global Engagement is one of the three pillars of Utrecht University's internationalisation policy. The focus is on engaging countries from the Global South, among others through our partnerships with Anton de Kom (University of Suriname) and University of Western Cape (South Africa). I support ongoing projects, engage in policy-making and internationalisation strategy and focus on the communication.Portfolios: communication, (policy) strategy, community building and publicity & dissemination

As Student Assessor, I am a student member of the Humanities Faculty Board and portfolio holder for education and student affairs, student organisations, Career Night and student representation. I develop and decide on faculty policies, mainly in the field of education and student affairs, and am the contact person for all 24 study associations and foundations of the faculty. I also liaise with student representatives at all levels of (co-)determination, the (vice)deans, student organisations and other faculty staff in order to keep up-to-date of everything going on within the faculty.

The Faculty Council (FC) is the faculty's main participation body and represents the interests of over 1000 employees and 7000 students towards the Faculty Board. The council makes an important contribution to the faculty's direction and consults with the Faculty Board on faculty policy in the field of education, research, finances, personnel & organisation, and advises the Board solicited and unsolicited. As a student member, I was a member of the Council Priorities Committee and worked on the internationalisation, diversity & inclusion and quality assurance portfolios. I was also group chair of Lijst VUUR (10 of the 12 seats of the student section).

The Curriculum Committee guards the quality of the education of the bachelor's programme and all of its courses. The CC evaluates education, examination regulations and gives advice (solicited and unsolicited) on the implementation and development of education policy to the programme management and the Faculty Board.

As a member of the Advisory Board, I provide advice - solicited and unsolicited - and support the current board of participation association VUUR in making (major) decisions. This involves both policy and content-related files.

VUUR (United Utrecht University Councils) = student participation! As a board, we support the University Council fraction and the faculty fractions of Humanities, Social Sciences and LEG and give direction to the university's largest student party: during the elections, VUUR grew to 28 seats. As chairperson, I am the point of contact for our participation association and ensure that decisions are made. I keep the overview, plan ahead and ensure the continuity of the association. Besides writing policy documents, I maintain contact with external parties and chair board and general member meetings. I also support various committees, including the CampaignCo.

The Advisory Board is an advisory body made up of former board members that provides the current board with advice (solicited and unsolicited) when making (major) decisions and support the policy side of running an association.

As the audit committee, we supervise the treasurer of the board and all financial policies. We check all the accountancy of the association. Next to this supervising role, we also function as an advisory organ for the treasurer regarding finances and other board-related affairs.

As treasurer of the 20th board, I am responsible for all financial matters and conduct the financial policy. Among my duties are preparing and checking budgets and settlements, financial administration and organising collections, invoices and contracts. As Deputy Commissioner of External Affairs, I am also involved in acquisition and contact with external partners. Besides these regular tasks, I deal with all aspects involved in running an association (± 600 members). This includes tasks around member engagement, guiding and supporting committees, helping with the university's open days and organising activities, workshops and lectures.

The SVO is an association for all 26 study associations and foundations of the Faculty of Humanities. As a board, we organise meetings where the student board members can come together and discuss topics relevant to them. We also supervise eight committees, which organise events or work on projects for all students of the faculty. As student assessor, I fulfil the position of chair within the SVO board on behalf of the Faculty Board.

Student member of the Career Night Committee 2023 around the theme of ‘impact’. In collaboration with Career Services and the Faculty Board, the committee organises the faculty career event of the year. With more than 300 participants and a wide range of alumni, workshops and companies on offer, it was another success this year! Within my tasks, I was responsible for finances, internal communication and support in contacting all student associations and foundations.

Board member of the 8th SVO board, the association of all study associations and foundations of the faculty. The SVO organises monthly study association meetings, workshops and trainings; in addition, I coordinate several committees in cooperation with the more than 25 study associations. As Commissioner of PR, I take care of all social media channels and am responsible for the online representation and branding of the SVO, oversee the annual planning and hold the role of vice-chair. Further projects include drafting a media policy, setting up the website and digitalisation.

Queer Film Festival Utrecht (QFFU) has been organising an annual film festival since 2019, turning the whole of Utrecht into one big cinema. As editor-in-chief, I coordinate QFFU's website. I serve as chief editor and oversee the final editing of all publications. I also manage all web pages and make sure the site stays up-to-date.

As a communications officer, I write articles, produce media and take care of all kinds of promotional material. During the festival itself, I work as production and make sure every screening runs smoothly

The UITmagazine is the magazine for all 5,000 first-year students participating in the Utrecht Introduction Time. As editor-in-chief, in addition to writing articles, I edited all articles, was responsible for the design and publication of the magazine and directed the UIT editorial team in cooperation with the UIT board.
