About Per-Anders Nilsson

After an interesting assignment at Cancercentrum in the lovely Uppsala it was time to take the next step home again. End of August 2024 I started as CIO at Glada Hudikhem where I'm looking forward to set some new challanges and goals together with my colleagues. For more than 15 years I have had the opportunity to be involved in international assignments (including IT, finance, production, sales, logistics and project management). My ambition has been to act analytical and be a creative thinker, who is realistic and striving for successful solutions at the same time. I have probably inherited my entrepreneurial mindset from my family and really try to create value by leveraging different stakeholders’ strengths. I also see myself as a experienced mediator between business-oriented and technically-focused parties. For many years I have had the role of project leader of international teams, promoting a positive and cooperative work environment.Finally (and no more bragging 😉), I’m still a curious person with a great interest in technology, but above all a humble social friend and colleague who appreciates honesty and joy.

    IT-consultant at Cancercentrum (Regionalt Cancercentrum Mellansverige), a Swedish health care organization. Acting as project manager and system analyst where I together with the team was responsible to develop IPÖ (Individuell Patient Översikt). Regional Cancer Centres (RCC) in Sweden support the regions to increase cancer care quality and improve the outcomes, as well as increase the efficiency of the use of health care resources throughout the patient pathways. For us in the team it was very stimulating to develop and improve a IT-system according to the intentions of the national cancer strategy and the EU's cancer plan (ruled by the RCC which has a nationally supportive task). There mission is to meet challenges and demands in tomorrow’s cancer care through outreach and collaborative work. I'm happy and proud to have been part of the team responsible for this development and contribution of a efficient and user friendly IT-solution called IPÖ.
