As a Program Management intern, I was able to support the core business operations team with the creation and automation of processes that will support Functional Excellence and eventually the entire enterprise. I also documented the process of creating these processes and potential future iterations that allow for more automation. Aside from my statement of work, I also participated in enterprise-wide intern events, attended a three-day project management training, and competed in the Program Management Case Competition. Although this internship was shifted to a virtual experience, I still connected with my team and others virtually to have a well-rounded experience.

Pullman, Wa

As the Program Assistant for the International Center at Washington State University, I worked with international students by creating a space to help them integrate into the culture in Pullman, WA. I co-mentored 12-15 interns from around the world each semester to help them create events and outreach programs that encouraged students and community members to become more involved with this space on campus. Aside from working with the other interns, I managed and designed Mailchimp to send out the weekly newsletter, recruited and interviewed prospective interns, coordinated multiple excursions for students and community members, and ensured that the flyers and collateral that were created were properly branded.

Pullman, Washington

I was a Peer Adviser at the Global Learning Office at Washington State University. I shared my experiences with students who are interested in participating in achieving a globalized education. Aside from daily administrative tasks like scheduling appointments and assisting the Global Learning Advisers, I gave weekly presentations and participated in outreach sessions to inform students about the different opportunities available for their education abroad. I worked on enhancing the scholarship database for study abroad students to ensure that students understand that everyone has financial support when going abroad.

Bellevue, Wa

I was a seasonal sales guide for Eddie Bauer at their Bellevue corporate location. Aside from wardrobing customers, I provided information about numerous outdoor activities to encourage others to explore the pacific northwest. While working closely with my management team, I was able to accomplish my weekly and monthly sales goals. Most recently, I was in the stock room sending out shipment, processing shipment, consolidating, and back stocking excess inventory.

Salish Lodge And Spa

Being located above the Snoqualmie Falls has a lot of amazing perks! As a marketing, spa, and retail intern, I learned the importance of having experience in all the outlets to be able to appropriately market the lodge to guests. From the marketing part of my internship, I organized, designed, and ordered collateral, insured that all of our outlets and current social platforms were corporate compliant, and worked closely with the marketing manager at the Salish to create and document marketing ideas. In the spa, I focused on working with the team to create an event during Wellness Month, updated the website to implement dynamic pricing, worked with customers from the start of their spa day to the end, and used book4time to schedule appointments. In the retail space, I focused on redesigning different displays, stocking product, and working customers to ensure they were educated about all of the Salish branded products and the surrounding Snoqualmie area.

The International Center is an umbrella program under International Programs at Washington State University where I was the lead marketing intern. In the past, I used Photoshop to create flyers for our weekly events and managed multiple social media accounts. Through the analysis of the different social media platforms, we were able to create a stronger brand identity for the center. Overall there has been an 18% growth on all of the social media accounts, which has also increased the level of activity on all the platforms. As the lead marketing intern, I also trained incoming interns on branding requirements and on daily intern duties in the center. I worked closely with other teams of students from around the world to ensure that the programs and events provided were refreshing and successful.

Greater Seattle Area

I managed inventory levels and performed bay maintenance in 32 different Lowes and Home Depot stores in the Greater Seattle Area. By creating my own schedule, I was able to organize the work I had to complete in a timely fashion. I used Salesforce to track inventory levels and communicate with my management team information about each store. I also increased associate knowledge of the product in the stores through demonstrations and worked with associates to sell product.
