Professional expert and engineering consultant who has worked for insurance companies, reinsurance companies and loss adjustment companies since 2007. He has experience in complex claims analysis, knowledge on various types of accident, such as fires, explosions, gales, floods, engineering risks, collapse of embankments and slopes, dams, bridges, railways, roads and construction pathologies. In his capacity as Judicial Expert Testimony, he has worked on several judicial cases, assisting law firms and legal departments on behalf of various insurance companies. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the São Paulo Faculty of Engineering , a Post-Graduate Degree in the Structural Design of Buildings from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo - POLI/USP, and specialization in fire protection. He has also completed extension courses in Judicial Expert Testimony, Documentary Expert Evidence and Economic/Financial Re-balancing of Civil Construction Contracts, and is proficient enough in using English within the professional workplace. His specialist academic areas were fires in buildings, fire behavior and the damage caused to structures by it, as well as in the analysis of the cause and origin of the fire. In 2016, he presented a scientific paper at POLI/USP on "Passive protection materials for concrete structures in fire situations". It was given the highest score by the Review Board overseen by Professor Paulo Helene PhD. One of the first Brazilians to take the course in Complex Fire Investigation for the Insurance Industry sponsored by the International Association of Arson Investigators – IAAI. He was an assistant speaker at the event promoted by the National Federation of General Insurance - FenSeg in 2014, on the subject of "Major Accidents in Construction Works" and at FESP in 2016, on the "Introduction to Engineering Expertise - the study of accidents in construction works".
