I worked closely with two other interns to design, develop, and execute a virtual environmental education curriculum to bring the Vassar Preserve to local elementary school students during the COVID-19 pandemic. We used the Padlet platform to create a unique place-based curriculum. I focused on devising science lessons, creative art projects, and listening and observation activities, while also creating videos that were novel and specific to the Vassar Ecological Preserve's aquatic habitats. After the Padlet was launched, I collaborated with another intern to design and teach virtual Google Meets to local classes. I also supported other Vassar Preserve interns with geocache maintenance, tree planting, weeding, invasive species removal, and pollinator garden maintenance.

I was elected to Vassar's Senior Class Council, where I collaborated with the four student council members and two administrators to create fulfilling and engaging programming for the Senior Class. I successfully navigated the challenges of "hybrid" programming during the COVID-19 pandemic, and our work culminated in the planning and execution of a five-day "Senior Week"-- serving as a capstone of our class' college experiences. As secretary I maintained meeting notes and also corresponded with class members' and their concerns and inquiries throughout the year.

I actively participated in a seven-day leadership training program, where I sharpened my communication, team-building, and conflict resolution skills. I then spent the year working very closely with the House Fellow (a professor who lived in my residential house) and other House Fellow Interns to design and implement intentional, inclusive, and creative academic programming for 200 residents.

I collaborated with fellow interns to support and aid Assistant District Attorney’s (ADA’s) with casework. I was trusted by ADA’s to respond to FOILs and faxes, refine notices, compile court files and case notes, survey historical cases, communicate with other ADA’s and office members, execute write-ups, and make phone calls. I used my organizational and communication skills to take notes on evidence videos (and condense it to a manageable length), speak on the phone with victims, and interact with different judges and officers on a daily basis.

I returned to school early to participate in a 10-day summer leadership training program. I then led 12 first-year students through a week-long orientation and provided emotional support and conflict resolution throughout the year, helping them adjust to college life. I collaborated with peers to create weekly inclusive and creative house programming for 200 residents. I also met with House Team and other Student Fellows twice a week to communicate about house needs, foster community, and respond to conflicts or issues within the house. I provided thoughtful insight on the positions' strengths and weaknesses to administrators upon finishing the job.
