Just as life constantly evolves, so do careers. After receiving my BFA from Wayne State University, I moved to Israel. Once acclimated, I entered the IDF, serving as a medical supplies quartermaster. After my service, I began a career in the pharmaceutical industry (lasting from 1980-2001), starting as a medical sales representative, progressing to product manager, sales manager, marketing manager, and finally operational effectiveness manager. I was also an acting financial comptroller, inspiring me to get an MBA in finance. In November of 2001, I returned to the USA and created a sales and marketing consultancy, which I ran for two years. During that time my projects included rewriting marketing plans, doing sales for an analytical laboratory, and creating and presenting a seminar in Singapore on turning a marketing plan into an actionable sales plan. Due to a difficult economy, I turned to the local market, doing executive search for Kimmel & Associates, and then began to direct Building Future Builders, a non-profit they founded. Unfortunately, the housing crash of late 2008 brought Building Future Builders to a close.I turned to freelance financial work, and project development. Then, to help my bank account and help a good friend who had an opening in his office, I became a legal assistant. I mainly performed research, forensic accounting, and analytic work. This led to an appointment to serve a term as magistrate judge in the 28th Judicial District of North Carolina. Starting during my term as magistrate (which term is since expired), and continuing today, I began to perform cost savings analysis for hospitals across the United States at Tryon Clear View Group, LLC (a North Carolina based consulting firm). In July 2017, I had the opportunity to “return to knitting” and performed a one-off consultation for Merz on behalf of The Exequor Group.
