Along with being part of the founding team at Flybits, I am proud to see my career evolve to the position of CTO as I have seen our company grow from a research group with only a few teammates to an international company with employees all around the world. As the CTO, I am responsible for leading both the technology and product teams at Flybits by setting the technological and product direction of the company. My experience working with several engineering teams at Flybits like cloud/infrastructure, backend, and mobile provide me with the tools/experience I need to create an engineering culture that we can be proud of at Flybits. I am responsible for enhancing our product offering through the various policies, procedures, and initiatives that I lead on every day basis. Creating a collaborative, innovative, and engagement engineering culture is one of my most important mandates and something that I strive for in order to make Flybits one of the best places to work at. While leading the talented ~60 Engineering and Product folks on our team is a dream come true I know there is still a lot of work ahead of us, I am proud to work along side an immensely talented group and consider myself lucky to be able to help define and drive the roadmap and priorities of the company. I know that any leader is only as good as the people they get to work with so building the right team and putting the right structure in place is something that really motivates me.

As the VP of Engineering - Core Platforms, it is my responsibility to define, design, and execute Flybits' overall cloud strategies along with the underlying technologies that power the Flybits platform. I effectively manage and lead my team to understand the business needs while providing scalable, secure, cost effective technology solutions used by our customer including several large-scale financial institutions including banks, insurance companies, and credit unions. I, along with my team, create and maintain a thorough roadmap that demonstrates business value while incorporating industry best practices related to cloud architecture and engineering. It is my responsibility to convey senior leadership objectives while creating strategic priorities for my team(s) that are quantifiable, clear and achievable to make Flybits a successful product company. It is my responsible to create and maintain engineering policies that will make the Flybits' platform more reliable and secure while making sure that such policies are followed by the various engineering teams.

In addition to leading the Flybits mobile development team, comprised of about a dozen mobile developers, I took the role of advancing the company's platform/middleware solution from its current stage to the next generation(s). I worked closely with the mobile, server, and web teams in order to define the product specifications and make sure that everyone is on the same page, while expediting the progress of the platform at the same time. Additionally, I built and maintained the core product's Android SDKs used by the Android developers on the team. The SDKs are being used by several production applications with more on the way. Finally, I helped design, implement, and maintain all Android applications that Flybits has developed and/or are currently in development.

My responsibilities included communicating with clients, managing development resources, and assisting in application development.
