I advertised and delivered classes around my local area, delivered one to one fitness sessions and designed and made nutrition plans based around the clients nutritional requirements, fitness goals and personal taste.

When the gym booking sheet isn’t busy, I spent most of my time talking to members about their training journey and developing personal relationships with them, in order to make them feel more at ease with what could be an intimidating experience.

Inducting new members to the gym with a thorough explanation of how each piece of equipment is used. New members are also given a tailor made fitness programme to help them achieve their goals. I also designed and delivered “fast classes” on the gym floor, which were 15-20 minute blasts of condensed exercise. My promotion to the senior role extended the regular role of a fitness coach to leading the rest of the fitness coaches in taking on payroll, designing rotas for the month, conducting regular one to one meetings with the staff, regular health and safety checks on the gym equipment and dealing with complaints from members on the gym floor.

This job required a lot of my time to be spent at the gym, where I would recruit members to sign up to personal training with me, essentially a sales part of the job. After that I would design fitness plans based around my clients capabilities and fitness levels, then I would plan nutritional plans tailored to their nutritional requirements, fitness goals and personal taste.
