- Refocused Asics’s Corporate Sustainability Team creating achievable corporate Green Road Map and Sustainability Goals gaining full corporate buy in.-Increased Asics’s use of Sustainable materials from less than 1% to 47%, with minimal cost increase and no decline of physical properties in less than a year. - Introduced Asics’s Sourcing team to Gold Rated Tanneries and BlueSign Fabric mills reducing costs and negative environmental impact, along with lessening concerns of protests against Asics during the Asics sponsored Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics Games.- Worked with OT brand leather team and tannery to update chemistry needed for switching to water based adhesives solving bonding for their footwear.- Started Community Service - Volunteer team with 5 coworkers allowing Asics to give back to the community and team building. - Developed products with new material and fabric construction of products for retail partner Dick’s Sporting Goods increasing 1st seasonal buy from 6000 units to 84,000 units.- Started development of “plant based renewable / recyclable” polymer base for use in one material footwear and apparel, helping to increase their recycling value, keeping them from being disposed.
