As the Principal Cybersecurity Consultant to the Naval Information Warfare Syetems Command (NAVWAR) Command Information Security Officer (CISO) I was responsible for advancing cyber readiness for the organization. This included forming and leading a working group preparing for a large audit - inclusive of an active Red Team Penetration effort and assessed against all components of the NIST cybersecurity framework.

As the CIO for I Marine Expeditionary Force, I directed the implementation of information networks, services, and associated cyber security practices for the largest globally responsive organization in the Marine Corps. Managed a high-performance team that established policy and resulting enforcement for 1700+ cyber workforce supporting complex security operations in challenging environment.◆ Threat mitigation: Responsible for vulnerability assessments and related compliance efforts to reduce threat across a broad spectrum inclusive of advanced persistent threats. ◆ End point security: Led project to migrate 35k computer assets onto Windows 10 secure software baseline. Implemented processes and developed goals to transition devices onto new software within 8 months of commencement. I served as a key advisor to the Marine Corps’ Chief Information Officer providing expert guidance on IT operations to support achievement of short and long-range objectives. National Security and International Affairs:I was selected amongst a very competitive group to serve as the U.S. Marine Corps Senior Fellow to the Atlantic Council. The Marine Corps Embassy Security program is responsible for safeguarding U.S. diplomatic facilities and classified information at embassies and consulates around the world. As the Director ot IT at 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, I directed all planning and establishment of complex information networks that enabled international operations across the Pacific region supporting a 6k+ personnel sized organization.
