    The University of Kent stands proud as one of the UK’s premium universities. The University offers outstanding teaching, stunning study locations, close proximity to London and a superb student experience.As Interim Director of International Recruitment and Partnerships I was responsible for leading the University's international team, with a sharp focus on maximising student recruitment volumes for the autumn 2024 international student intake.At the time of my arrival, in the spring of 2024, the University was projected to achieve less than <50% of its international recruitment target. During the first two weeks of my tenure, I was able to help the team identify seven priority international markets, creating an emergency recruitment plan for each country. Each plan containing an agent engagement strategy, an executable digital marketing plan as well as a scholarship/bursary strategy. As the intake grew closer, the University also introduced calling campaigns and conversion plans for each of the seven markets, which served to increase conversion ratios.In addition I was able to identify bottlenecks within the admissions and student recruitment journeys, and introduced changes that presented Kent as a more attractive proposition to the wider international student community.The initiatives served to significantly increase student volumes and lay foundations for successful future intakes.

During my tenure I refined the school's brand, relaunched the school's website (now considered one of the best in category) and redefined the school's communications and social media strategies (resulting in a 300% increase in social media interaction between MGSM and its audience).This work not only served to position MGSM as one of Asia Pacific's more innovative business schools (from a marketing and branding perspective) but had a tangible and positive impact on student attraction and revenue generation. Enquiry rates increased by 30%, web-traffic by more than 50% and sales revenue by more than 20%.This was achieved in what was acknowledged to be a shrinking market, and during this time MGSM's market-share increased by 50% (within the state of New South Wales).During my tenure I was responsible for MGSM's ranking submissions and led the project team responsible for driving MGSM's uplift from #73 to #55 in The Economist 'Which MBA' global ranking (over a two year period). Since my departure the ranking has risen to #28 as a direct result of the strategies that I set in place prior to departure.
