I would coordinate samples in-house with our machinist, ensuring materials would be sourced and available. With the customers approval of a design and sample, I would then coordinate with our overseas manufacturer, assisting them with like sample production. I would create detailed specifications with a BOM, trims list, and engineering drawings to reduce confusion and mistakes. Often catering to a language barrier, I also created design reports clearly identifying problem areas and amendments to continue with production.
