I'm Pete and I'm in love with food. I'm never happier than when I'm working in the kitchen. A forced redundancy from the public service in 2011 led me into the publishing industry, where I found a niche as a culinary consultant for a small publishing company. I assisted in the research, editing and globalising of several cookbooks and continuity cooking card products for Hardie Grant, Murdoch and International Masters Publishers. I was then fortunate enough to assist in food prep for several cookbooks and magazine shoots with Michelle Noerianto, Leanne Kitchen, Antony Suvalko, Kirsten Jenkins, Tracey Pattinson, Claire Pietersen, Jenn Tolhurst, Dixie Elliott, Cynthia Black, Maeve O'Meara and Heidi Moore, among others. I've been the food prep assistant on shoots for books including "East" (by Leanne Kitchen and Antony Suvalko), Luke Nguyen's "France", "Special Delivery" (by Annabel Crabb), "Milk Bar" (by Jane Lawson), Maeve O'Meara's "Fire", as well as shoots for other books for organisations including Penguin Lantern, Hardie Grant, Murdoch magazines and television for Fresh! and News Life Media. I have worked on various television productions in a number of food roles, including "Silvia's Italian Table" “The Biggest Loser Transformed”, “Sammy and Bella’s Kitchen Rescue” and “The Chefs Line” I have also worked on several TVCs, including Christmas TVCs for David Jones, Aldi and Woolworths. I hold a Cert III in Commercial Cookery at Ultimo TAFE.
