I have enjoyed a fantastic career in Education and Sports Development settings as a project manager and lead in various roles. I have worked with a wide range of diverse communities and organisations across the public, charity and private sectors. I have managed projects, designed programmes, and led teams of staff and volunteers in numerous exciting community sport and Educational settings. Relationship building and working with people has been at the heart of my work and is something I enjoy greatly. My work has included a range of Inclusive projects and programmes that have used the power of Sport and Education to connect communities, build skills, and develop vulnerable people. Helping communities enjoy physical activity and sport in accessible ways. I have a Masters Degree in Sports Coaching from the University of Staffordshire. I am currently a visiting teaching fellow with the university following completion of my studies. I am constantly striving to develop my skills and experiences, and hope to continue to develop my career in a fulfilling way.

Sportslink Project ManagerCharnwood Arts Jul 2007 - Jul 2011LoughboroughProject Manager for a community cohesion sports and dance project across Loughborough and the surrounding villages.Successes included designing and delivering an international sport and dance program in partnership with Venhastili village school in Gujarat India and was fortunate enough to visit India to study Sport and Dance (and Physical Activity). On my return we produced a book which we distributed to schools in the Charnwood borough and ran a series of sports, dance and Indian culture sessions in primary schools, youth centres and local leisure centres. A truly life changing experience! I also designed and coordinated a multi-agency Golf course makeover project in partnership with StreetGames. This project included an array of partners including the local authority, five local primary schools, two secondary schools, a local refugee and asylum seeker project, a free lance artist, and the local youth services in a project that saw us makeover a local pitch and putt facility. Our volunteer project put new tee box markers, flags, and a mural was painted on the clubhouse. All work on the project was completed by Young People. Once the work was complete we also ran a community Golf day at the course to engage the local neighbourhood and celebrate the efforts of the young people involved. That year we were the best performing StreetGames volunteer project in the country. -
