After 14 years in teaching I have returned to work in the Marine Sector as a Technical Designer.Taught in higher education with a focus on Engineering mathematics and related sciences, his background as a qualified shipwright and a practicing engineer also enables him to work with younger students during the initial stages of their technical studies.Peter obtained a BSc Hons in Control Engineering at the City University in 1984 and worked as a Control Engineer specialising in PLC Automation across a wide range of industrial applications throughout the UK.Previously employed by Alfa Laval and Tetra Pak he moved to Cornwall to re-focus his career in the marine industry. He worked in the marine sector and water treatment before being trained as a teacher/lecturer with PGCE status.Peter also mentors Open University students in the local area.
