At Inviqa I helped build communities and organisational structures for software engineers to succeed.I promoted communication and inclusivity to 100 engineers spread over 9 offices in Europe. I visited our offices regularly so that I knew my people, understood their challenges and worked with them to solve our problems. I was responsible for their hiring, retention and morale. I helped define career progression opportunities for individuals and co-ordinated the skills we need as an organisation to succeed.Inviqa are big on community events and I was an organiser of the bi-annual conference "Icon" and Hack Days. Inviqa is a quality-focused organisation and I worked with my teams to ensure the highest levels of software engineering standards were lived and breathed by all. There were a lot of challenging aspects to my role, thankfully I worked with a talented and dedicated group whom I trusted and could rely on.

I designed, specified and led a team to rebuild the reiss.com ecommerce website. We grew from a bunch of engineers to my beloved high performance product team.The rebuilt site saw revenue increase by nearly 10% for the initial 6 month period after launch with further increases in the second year. I also worked closed with the in-house ecommerce team and wider business departments to provide technical guidance wherever needed.

I joined to lead the in-house development team for the reiss.com ecommerce website, stabilising the legacy platform.I delivered initiatives including 2 site refreshes, and iPad site (later consolidated to a fully responsive site) paypal, gift card and ESP integrations and hosting migration.

I contributed to multiple development initiatives in the trade reconciliation space.I gained exposure critical systems in terms of financial accuracy and security of data in a large-scale real-time environment. The system was built to operate on over 300 client databases simultaneously in a microservices environment.

Responsible for the development of an analytics application for monitoring the performance of seismic airgun controllers used off-shore.I was fortunate to have a wide exposure to different disciplines during my early career, an experience that few get.I performed software and hardware maintenance on worldwide remote sites. I curated and delivered a 3 day training course on location. I wrote a comprehensive software manual for our product. I also designed, built and manned our company stand at exhibition events.

I worked primarily on 3 high street fashion retail websites, as a major contributor and latterly a team lead overseeing complete builds. I was involved in 3 mobile apps.
