I ran this modern winery and micro brewery. My role included sourcing raw materials and packaging, the upkeep of the vineyard, equipment maintenance, process control and innovation, product development, quality control and manufacturing.I was also involved in strategic planning, sales development, retailing, design of product range and packaging, costing, price and stock control. Responsible for a team of eight, I increased sales by 45%, with a 30% cost reduction.My wines achieved four awards in international competition and nine in regional/national events. I developed a bottled beer which grew to represent 40% of the company's turnover within two years.

As winemaker/manager I helped grow the company from start-up to a £720,000 turnover in 5 years, creating a product range of country wines, meads and liqueurs.
