I worked for HSBC (Global Product Change - HSS Investment Operations) as a Test Consultant for their trade processing solution. The solution uses Markit EDM and Fiserv’s TradeFlow matching and settlement package. There are six major functional releases per year.• Responsible for system testing activities for allocated projects within the system testing lifecycle before promotion to production.• Using Quality Center for test execution and JIRA for requirement analysis and review.Projects included:• Testing new service offering including Collective and PreFunded trades• Testing new functionality to handle Multiple Accounting indicators in Markit• Testing real-time transactional data feeds from Markit to other internal systems for client trades and trade status lifecycle updates including mastered and external system values.Previously at HSBC, I have been:• A Senior Tester on the Functional and Regression Testing project of Markit addressing a high level of client on-boarding.• Tested multiple Financial Instruments including Equities, Fixed Income, OTC Derivatives and Money Market Trades including Deposits and Commercial Papers.• Dealt with post trade processing using Tradeflow, through to settlement confirmation, checking SWIFT message creation & acknowledging trades from ICON, Geneva & Calypso.• Manually prepared file types used by clients including XML, CSV, FiXML & SWIFT files for testing.• Testing end-to-end positive STP to enable each module to be tested for specific defects to avoid passing through CADIS in error to external systems, Tradeflow or Calypso.• Developed understanding of building, editing and maintaining multiple file types.• Enabled BAs to take a step back from SIT testing duties and streamline the rapidly growing Regression Testing Pack into a more manageable and reusable Test Pack.
