I have 26+ years of active-duty service in the United States Coast Guard, with 12 years as an enlisted Electrician’s Mate (3rd Class to Chief), and over 14 years as a Chief Warrant Officer in the Naval Engineering specialty. I have served the past ten consecutive years as Engineer Officer (EO), spanning three tours. My present responsibilities include the operation, maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems onboard including propulsion, power generation and distribution, wastewater management, potable water production, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, interior communication and security systems. Additionally, oversaw the execution of seven major maintenance availabilities during the course of 10 years, totaling more than $15M, significantly improving the service life, reliability and habitability of two aging Coast Guard cutters – USCGC JUNIPER and USCG BARQUE EAGLE. I have extensive instructor and team leader experience, and was responsible for the development and execution of a significant part of the Coast Guard Academy's Summer Training program, delivering hands-on and class room instruction and evaluation for more than 500 trainees annually. Presently scheduled to retire October of 2022, terminal leave to commence mid-June.
