I have been operating Cranwood since 2008, primarily as a sponsor of investment funds. Since that time, I have been a member firm of the Chicago Board of Trade. I was the sponsor of several interest rate-arbitrage funds from 2008-2017 in the United States and around the world, raising over $130,000,000 to trade my strategy in yield curve spreads. Since 2017, Cranwood has been a proprietary trading firm and has remained a member firm of the Chicago Board of Trade.Before founding Cranwood, I was a floor trader at the Chicago Board of Trade in 1997 and was one of the first exchange members to begin electronic trading during Project A, the CBOT's first foray into off-floor, off-hours electronic trading. In 2003, I founded Elite Trading Company, a proprietary trading firm where I mentored and trained several traders in the same spread techniques that I learned on the floor and that were now available electronically. Several have gone on to successful trading careers of their own.In 2008, I started Cranwood Capital Management, a hedge fund deploying the same spread trading methodology, which was now available to investors around the world. From 2015-2019, Cranwood owned part of the GP of Alpha Lab Enhanced Income Fund LP, which was a hybrid vehicle investing in real estate loans on properties developed by Waterfront Group in North Carolina. We participated in the development of raw land as well as the ownership and sale of leased property, all in North Carolina.My work through Cranwood has been recognized as the top-performing trader and manager by major industry publications several times. I have also been a guest speaker/panelist at industry conferences in the US and Europe.I have since been the CEO of multiple Cranwood companies. I graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
