Provide oversight and management for the Vice Chief of the Defence Staff Group of 5000 personnel in resource management, comptrollership, personnel administration, regulatory programs, information management, infrastructure management, and coordination support for all Canadian Forces personnel employed outside Canada.

Command and oversight of the training and readiness for deployment of twelve United States Army Combat Brigades. At the same time responsible for all the sustainment activity in support of the Corps of 50,000 troops. Exercised oversight of all aviation training and the Force Protection program for Fort Hood.

Directed and led the operations branch of the strategic joint staff, providing strategic level planning, situational awareness, decision support and crisis management to the Chief of Defence Staff and the Government of Canada.

As the Executive Officer was the key link to the strategic joint staff, the leadership of the Canadian Forces, Allies and the Government of Canada. Key role was establishing relationships, team building and providing recommendations and decision support to the Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Forces.

Taught National Security Policy and Strategy at the United States Army War College

Commanded a Canadian Task Force of 3500 troops as a part of the NATO Stabilization Force in the Former Yugoslavia. Responsible for the execution of Canadian national interests in the NATO led coalition.
