After completing a BA majoring in Film & TV at Curtin University in West Australia, I worked with a wildlife documentary unit for STW Channel 9, then with Perth's largest production company, Western Images, for nearly 3 years. Have since worked as a freelance Director of Photography for over 20 years including assignments to countries including Mexico, Costa Rica, Morocco, Mozambique, Sth Africa, Indonesia, French Polynesia, Peru, Chile and Brazil as well as Europe, Fiji and the United States.Was a contributing DOP alongside legendary surf filmmaker Jack McCoy on 4 docos he's directed, and 2 feature films. I directed and shot several surfing documentaries, including the internationally-released Rip Curl film 'Stomp' and was commissioned to make surfing content for Red Bull. Last year I travelled to Sth Africa & Indonesia on a project for sustainably-made surfboard company Varuna Surfboards​.DoP’d the Australian leg of a Netflix series with UK comedian Russell Howard and as camera op on a Channel 10 special with Em Rusciano & was Surf Unit Camera Operator on the Netflix series Surviving Summer. Have also shot stories for TV shows such as 60 Minutes and the 7.30 Report as well as ABC & SBS Arts Programs, NITV’s Yokayi Footy and the Children's Doco Series This is Me, as well as a sequence for the award winning doco Dancing The Invisible, about Australia's most accomplished film editor, Jill Bilcock. Have also worked on the English & German versions of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Buying Blind, BBC 4 doco's, the Tv show The House of Wellness and the ABC's new arts program The Art Of...with Namila Benson.Recently shot a series of 30 videos for Tourism Australia with regional tourism operators in Victoria, which was a really enjoyable process. I also directed, shot and edited a series of videos for organic winemaker Handpicked Wines at their vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley, Barossa Valley and Tamar Valley in Tasmania.Am a CASA-accredited drone pilot, with ReOC & RePL.I enjoy working with people who are passionate about bringing their vision to life.
