Life Scientist with a strong background in molecular physiology.I am interested in G-Protein coupled receptor mechanisms that trigger calcium-dependent events which prompt electrical stimuli in neurons but also reduce them to control intracellular calcium levels (calmodulin).Identifying and understanding calcium-dependent processes and their proteins help to unravel novel drug targets for a hopefully better treatment of neurodevelopmental diseases, such as Alzheimer's Disease or autism as in the Timothy Syndrome.My experience overall implies insights on both sides, academia and academia bridging industry cooperation.I have published in international leading and high ranking journals, e.g. Journal of Medical Chemistry, Biophysical Journal, Scientific Reports, ELife, Nature Communications, EMBO and Journal of Biological Chemistry.
