Greetings! I'm Peter Bloomquist, a passionate outdoor enthusiast, born in Winchester, Indiana, near the headwaters of the West Fork of the White River. Growing up amidst nature lovers, with my mother and grandfather being avid backpackers, instilled in me a deep appreciation for the outdoors.My journey led me to a realization that backpacking is essentially one long portage. Embracing this insight, I gradually transitioned into canoe camping, finding a profound connection with the waterways and the untamed beauty they unveil.For the past decade, from 2011 to 2022, I served as a compliance liaison for the IU School of Medicine. Despite my professional commitment, my heart has always longed for a more direct involvement in increasing people’s access to nature.Today, I am proud to be the owner and operator of Frank's Paddlesports Livery, a venture born out of a dream to make a tangible impact on fostering a deeper connection between communities and our natural surroundings. Located along the riverbanks of the West Fork of the White River, Frank’s Livery aims to be Indianapolis’ premier provider of canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard rentals, tours, and instruction.At Frank's Livery, our mission is clear: to be a catalyst for building a thriving river community, ensuring equitable river access, and fostering environmental sustainability.
