Peter co-founded Pivotel Group in 2002 as a means of acquiring Vodafone’s mobile satellite business, which was being sold to an Australian enterprise that could leverage its potential to produce telecommunications solutions. CEO since inception, Peter is tasked with the growth and sustainability of the business. Peter has been integral in creating a robust and profitable business, and continues to source new revenue streams to ensure Pivotel Group competes with the three major mobile telcos. Pivotel Group is the fourth Australian mobile telecommunications network provider delivering solutions to clients of all sizes from large government agencies to small developers. It is recognised as the only company in the world offering a mobile service utilizing standard mobile numbers on all four major MSS networks (Globalstar, Inmarsat, Iridium and Thuraya). Peter is also driving the company’s international expansion. Already with operations in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, Peter expects to establish a North American base in 2017 and further Asian expansion in 2018. On a more local scale, he is working to ensure its new technology, ecoSphereTM by Pivotel, the company’s ground-breaking, and Australian-first, 4G only LTE solution, is synonymous with delivering the industrial internet to remote farms and mine sites across the country.Peter’s 34 years in the telecommunications industry has equipped him to manage the complexities that come naturally with an industry that all of Australia relies on for connectivity. With a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Peter has an innate understanding and appreciation for communications technology and the Internet of Things (IoT).
