Capacity Process manager for multiple accounts across New Zealand

I lead the design, coding, implementation and administration of an automated system for the Capacity Management of 9000+ UNIX, Windows, VMS, AS/400, Stratus & Tandem servers in 52 countries. I created a system to collect, summarise, trend, forecast, monitor and report the performance data from these servers. The system could use historical trends to forecast CPU & disk space in to the future and subsequently inform over 100 individual support areas of potential threshold breaches before they became reality.Furthermore, I had responsibility for much of the system administration of the UNIX & Windows infrastructure used in the Capacity Management solution.

Technical consultant. Responsible for implementing a complete Capacity Planning and Performance management tool-set to replace various in-house solutions. Responsibilities encompassed Capacity Forecasting for Windows NT, Performance Monitoring of UNIX and LANs + WANs as well as providing a Benchmarking service for the sizing & responsiveness of new applications, prior to implementation.

Senior Capacity Planner responsible for the planning and management of Mainframe and NT server capacity. Responsibilities encompassed Application Sizing, Capacity Forecasting, Application Tuning, provision of a comprehensive Performance Database and the development of an Intranet front end to the database.
