BIO: Peter CarrilloUpon retirement from the U.S. Navy, I worked for several large tech companies, from aerospace to telecom. I have worked in 26 countries and lived in four along with one trust territory (Marshall Islands).I have been consulting with international organizations since 2000 on organizational structure, information systems, fiber optics deployment strategies, people alignment, mini parallel processing systems for reactor studies, Data Centers, and infrastructure support in developing countries. I work with wood as a hobby building Little Free Libraries and various pieces of furniture for family members and friends.I earned my MBA from National University (NU) in San Diego, CA. I have lectured at Iowa State, USC, SDSU, and CSUSM, and I was an adjunct professor at NU for 25 years. During this period, I developed courses in Fiber Optics, Transmission Systems, Ethics & Technology, Business Communications, Supply Chain Management, Management Support Systems, Knowledge Management, Globalization, Information Systems, Project Management, and Information Management for Managers at the graduate level. I had the pleasure of presenting these courses (online & Platform) and many others over 25 years as an adjunct averaging six classes per year. I retired from adjunct work in 2017. I have membership on several academic, management, and technology committees in the US and the UK. I believe in sharing knowledge, and knowledge is power, but power for all to share.I continue to read quite a bit; organizational leadership and organizational theory, technology, and management magazines are a must, with books for leisure and books and articles on philosophy, qualitative studies, leadership, and technology, and I do squeeze a few pulp fiction books in to challenge the neuropathways. I periodically go back to texts I have read in the past and read a chapter or a few paragraphs for clarity. I read over 100 books a year. I believe education is or should be a continuous part of life’s journey.
