During my tenure at BOQ Group, I served as the Product Manager of Everyday Banking, overseeing transactional products for BOQ, Virgin Money, and ME Bank. Throughout this role, I spearheaded initiatives aimed at safeguarding customers from fraud and scams, optimizing payment processing times for charity partners, and eliminating overdraw rates for vulnerable customers. These efforts were in direct alignment with the group's strategic objectives of delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sustainable profitable growth.As part of this position, I led various email and letter customer communications, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery, which involved copy creation, legal review, and cost negotiations.In addition to my responsibilities in Everyday Banking, I had the privilege of taking on the role of Product Manager for Debit Cards, allowing me to expand my knowledge in card technologies, regulatory compliance, project management, and external stakeholder engagement. My time at BOQ provided me with invaluable experience and insights into another part of the Australian financial system. BOQ has some exciting things on the way and I would happily work with them again.

Within my 12 month contract I oversaw a portfolio of credit cards across AU/NZ. As product manager for the development of an external credit card build, I worked with a range of external and internal stakeholders. I built and maintained card performance reporting for the executive committee and led CVP changes for Flight Centre Mastercard in response to market changes.

Within my role at Hummgroup I focused on both new sales within Home Improvement and Retail industries alongside maintaining relationships with existing accounts. With my in-depth knowledge of the product I was able to communicate its strengths in business proposals and negotiated rates depending on the opportunity. I was able to communicate my results through dashboard creation with PowerBI and worked with our CRM team to develop a bespoke platform for our sales / sales operations teams.As of July 2021 I had generated over $5.6M in sales through new accounts.

Over the 6 week course, I had worked on extensive solution ideation surrounding the sustainability issues within coffee farming in Vietnam. This project saw us researching local coffee farming practices, the usage of fertilizer and irrigation systems, and the level of education possessed by the farmers. Alongside this research, we found common problems involving sustainability within the farming industry.Once the issues within the industry were known, we then created a solution, founder, market fit analysis as to determine which solution would fit the problem, the team member's skills and knowledge, and the time we had available. This analysis narrowed down our selection to developing a dashboard accessible by any farmer, which will enable them to input their land size, current water and fertilizer usage, to then display a recommendation for improvement. This improvement will ultimately bring the farmers a better profit and a more sustainable farm.In this project I developed further skills in Project Management, Problem-Solution Fits, Critical Thinking and Communication. This project also developed my Time Management and Organisational skills further, as I was both working full time at Humm Group and studying full time at UniSA, all whilst completing this program.For anyone considering this program, I would highly recommend it.
