Now retired after over 42 years experience in the Industrial Hygiene field including significant work in healthcare infection control and prevention consulting services, consulting and expert services pertaining to Legionella contamination, asbestos , water intrusion/fungal (mold) investigations, lead paints, PCB inspections, and a wide range of industrial hygiene/IAQ investigations and testing.Have worked many years as well writing curricula and performing AHERA accredited and non-accredited training for asbestos and CDPH accredited and non accredited lead-based paint courses, as well as infection control and prevention related training. Was a recipient, along with our team, of the American Public Works Association "Project of the Year" in 2017 for our work in the Environmental - Air Quality category in the $500,000 to $2,000,000 Division for an important Hydrogen Sulfide Remediation project we performed design and testing services for. Significant experience in working in an ad hoc advisory capacity with regulatory agencies including the USEPA (AHERA), New York State Department of Labor, and Cal/OSHA and the US Navy (OpNav Instructions) in the development of regulations and enforcement perspectives. Served on the Cal/OSHA advisory committee to create the requirements of Certified Asbestos Consultants and Certified Site Surveillance Technicians, assisted in writing changes to the California Business & Professions Code and the California Health & Safety Code, and worked on a committee to write draft legislation for proposed California Code changes for the certification of Mold Assessors, Remediators, and Remediation Supervisors.
