I returned to IBM as part of a group which analyzed SRAM chips for root cause failure. The fail information was fed back to manufacturing with the intent of quickly improving yield. A year later I transitioned back into the main Failure Analysis group until 2006. During that time I analyzed SRAM fails and special requests - such as a specific circuit on a logic chip. In 2006 I transitioned to the ASIC Characterization lab where I characterized various cores (DAC, ADC, POS, TV Sense, PLL...) to verify compliance to specifications.

Responsibilities initially included Lab layout & tooling acceptance. Main responsibilities after lab bring up were to analyze DRAM chip fails from single cell fails to chip wipe-out.
