I am currently self-employed as a director of Phoneix Data Solutions Ltd, a company I set up to provide Pathology Data Migration Services to the NHS or Private health sectors. We can and have rescued and migrated pathology data from a diverse range of legacy systems and have also developed a web-based portal application for viewing pathology data from multiple systems.I have been involved with using, developing and designing Pathology LIMS for over 30 years. Initially developing an in-house LIMS while working in Biochemistry within the NHS, I moved over to developing bespoke complete LIMS, and LIMS modules, on a contractual basis for various NHS pathology laboratories. I have since been working for a major UK LIMS company in a variety of roles for over 20 years. I have a comprehensive understanding of all areas of LIMS development, including core BHI, BT, Cellpath, Cytology Failsafe, Microbiology and Genetics workflow, interfacing to analysis platforms, PAS, EPR, OCS, RR and bespoke 3rd party systems, and good knowledge of HL7, NLMC, SNOMED-CT, RCP MDS etc. I am always looking for a new challenge....
