My extensive experience in software development includes permanent roles and freelance consultancy in the commercial and financial sectors.My freelance contracts have been primarily long term with several extensions and I have returned to several clients more than once.I have extensive experience of developing systems in C#, C++, C, UNIX and SQL. I have developed using Visual Studio (C#/C++) with the Misys Summit trading system GUI and Spreadex Financial and Sports Spread Betting systems where I also maintained code in C#,Javascript/HTML/CSS/jQuery and Angular.I have full development life cycle experience and have developed interfaces into and out of trading systems.I have many years of experience with SQL and relational databases and my knowledge of database design and performance issues in Ingres has been transferable to other relational databases such as Oracle and Sybase.I am extremely thorough, conscientious, and self-motivated, and can work on my own without supervision. I am a hands-on developer and technical analyst who enjoys increasing my knowledge of business processes and objectives, liaising well with business stakeholders and clients.
