It helps employers and employees understand their rights and responsibilities under Australian workplace laws. The FWO also monitors and enforces compliance with Australia's workplace laws and in some situations investigates possible breaches. Fair Work Inspectors are provided with certain powers under the Fair Work Act 2009 to promote, monitor and enforce compliance with workplace laws.My duties as a Fair Work Inspector includes:• investigating workplace complaints• conducting on-site Seasonal Worker briefings to new arrivals conducting compliance audits• providing assistance in resolving workplace complaintsDemonstrated skills in this role• Ability to successfully liaise with a range of stakeholders, including employers, employees, legal group, unions, FWO management• Ability to adapt my communication depending on the audience• Critical analysis of data• Report writing including recommendations to progress matters• Ability to negotiate outcomes with at times emotionally invested stakeholders (employers and employees)Achievements• Successfully investigated and resolved numerous workplace complaints• Promoted to APS Level 5 after 12 months in the role• Received employee recognition in FWO newsletter for achievement in resolving a particularly difficult matter
