Retail Professional with the vision of implementing solutions that enable Retailers to streamline their processes and maximise their performance in the complex and challenging Retail environment.Having Spent 20 years in the Retail environment, after starting out my career in accountancy then managing teams across the Retail Environment including such areas as Stores Management, Regional Sales Management, Stores Division Business Project Management, Stores Operations and finally Merchandise & Financial Systems, I have developed a solid working knowledge of the Retail channel, Best Practice Strategies and Processes and most important of all the issues it faces, I see great potential in providing Retail with a more co-ordinated and cross functional toolset to solve business problems by harnessing the power of the huge data sets and detailed issues that occur only in Retail.The more traditional divisions of Finance, Merchandise, Marketing, Stores, Property and HR are now joined by others that have emerged such as Stores Planning, Sourcing, Environment, Sustainability, Safety which have added new and exciting dimensions to Retail. This is even more apparent with the growing importance of Online and Customer Insights as a means to harness the data potential across all facets of a Retail Business enabling it to effectively service the customer by delivering both product and the associated information they want more effectively.
